WJBL is excited to present our new Jr. Wildcat League. This is a chance for third grade boys and girls to play in an actual league. No experience needed!

Who
This league is for Weymouth Third Graders. It is for boys and girls, but see our FAQs below for additional options for girls.
We are seeking parent volunteers to coach. It is an easy commitment and no experience is needed.
When
Saturday mornings 8:00-8:50 and 9:00-9:50 beginning December 7th. The teams and schedule will be published in late November.
This is an eight-week season. The final Saturday will be 02/08/25.
No games on Sat. 12/28. And when the Weymouth schools are closed for snow or other reason, the gyms are closed. We may have some limited ability to make up missed games(s).
Where
At the Sergeant Chesna Gym in the Chapman Jr. High School.
Practices
No separate practices. The first part of every session will be skills. Then the game.
cost
The season fee is $125. We offer a payment plan for all families. Please contact us if you need to discuss.
3rd Grade travel players are offered a 50% discount- the code is provided during the Travel registration process.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be distributed the first session. The kids will love them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my old LeagueApps registration account still work?
No! We have made improvements to our registration system. We now use Crossbar (this website). We rolled it out over the summer to positive feedback. Your old LeagueApps account will not work!
You will need to create a Crossbar account for all things WJBL. If you already have one from the Summer League please continue using that one!
My player has never touched a basketball. Is this ok?
Yes! We are here to teach the game. We expect that many players will have zero or very limited experience.
Are there girls?
Yes! We expect about 20% girls. But if your girl wants an all-girl environment, we encourage you to check out our friends Weymouth Girls Basketball at WeymouthGirlsBasketball.com.
Can my player get on a team with friends?
That gets too complicated for us to manage. But we do ask for school during registration so that kids can at least know a few faces on their team the first day. This is not to say that all kids from the same school will be on the same team.
