Anzalone League,10th - 12th
This is a fun Friday night program for young men to play with their friends. Although there are fierce playoffs, it is more casual and player-organized than our Town League.
This year the WJBL Board unanimously voted to name the league after Stephen Anzalone Sr., a long-time supporter of Weymouth youth basketball. Among other service achievements he founded this league as well as Weymouth Girls Basketball.
Who
Weymouth boys in 10th through 12th grade.
All players must register through Crossbar.
When
Friday nights from December 6th through February 7th.
No games on Fri 12/27. And when the Weymouth schools are closed for snow or other reason, the gyms are closed. We may have some limited ability to make up missed games(s).
Where
The Sergeant Chesna Gym at Chapman Jr. High School.
Practices
No practices. Just games.
Games
An eight-game season + playoffs. We may have some limited ability to schedule make-up games.
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided.

What is the level of play?
This league is for boys who enjoy the game but do not play on a high school team. For many players, their only previous experience is playing in the WJBL Town League.
How are the teams formed?
It is a combination of friends wanting to play together, and the league creating/completing teams. Teams are formed when everyone shows up on the first night. WJBL may need to get involved in the roster formation in order to ensure the teams are all competitive with each other.
Are there coaches?
Some teams have coaches, some do not. It is up to the team.
